Alaska Vacations

This non-contiguous state is the largest in America, and also the country's least densely populated. Alaska is world-renowned for its wild beauty, wildlife, and native heritage. Known as the last frontier, here you will find Denali, aka Mount McKinley, the tallest mountain in North America; Kenai Fjords National Park, home to the Harding Icefield; and Ketchikan, which boasts more totem poles than anywhere else on Earth.

When to Go

The best time to visit Alaska is during the summer months when the days are long and the weather the most pleasant. Keep in mind that winter temperatures in Alaska can frequently plunge below zero.

What to see

Denali - At 20,310 feet, Denali is the tallest peak in North America. It is located in Denali National Park and Preserve.

Kenai Fjords National Park - Home to the Harding Icefield, from which almost 40 glaciers flow, Kenai Fjords National Park is where ice, ocean and mountains meet.
